Being environmentally sustainable and responsible is important to our business and we work hard to understand the impact we have on the environment.
Recycling and the environment are incredibly important to us at TP Group, that is why we are rolling out a programme across our sites to reduce the amount of plastic going to landfill and also benefiting the local community.
In January this year, Jan Musson, Accounts Assistant based in our Fareham office, introduced a recycling programme to help her local primary school. The school are part of a nationwide scheme to recycle various household items that are currently not being recycled through the council. For example the recycling of toothbrushes and toothpaste tubes are sponsored by Colgate, crisp packets by Walkers, biscuit and cake wrappers by McVities, plus a number of other items. In return the school receive money for their collection which then helps with their budgets and goes towards books, stationary and other school requirements.
In the 8 weeks since starting the recycling project, Jan and the team have collected 24 carrier bags of rubbish, which would otherwise have gone to landfill. This means that the school receive extra funds whilst also reducing the impact of plastic in our environment.
With the success of the Fareham site, we plan on rolling this out to all our sties in the coming months.
We comply with all laws and regulations concerning the protection of the environment and make every effort to be informed and aware of environmental issues concerning TP Group and its business.
All business undertaken by TP Group is conducted in accordance with the laws and regulations concerning the protection of the environment and every effort is made to try to ensure, so far as reasonably possible, that our business does not cause damage to the environment, and the relevant employees will always conduct an environmental assessment to ensure that this is the case.

Within the workspace, for example, the Dukinfield factory has upgraded its shop floor lighting system with highly efficient LED lamps that provide much better lighting conditions for the workforce whilst being more energy efficient.
