TP Group plc is proud and excited to sponsor RAMS RUFC aiding English National League 1 Rugby.
Embracing, adopting and championing the values we live and breathe at tpgroup plc.
Supporting local teams to achieve their ambitions, building strong team work, achieving together, striving for excellence and challenge themselves and each other.
We are committed to community engagement and volunteering within our local communities at TP Group. In 2018 we introduced a STEM programme where all employees have the opportunity to engage in extracurricular education for children and young people. Our people understand the importance STEM plays in schools and wider education. If young people choose to pursue careers outside of engineering, then the UK will not have enough resources to meet demand in this critical field. That is why for 2019 we are committed to providing 100 hours of voluntary community engagement in the STEM area.
Our people are also heavily involved in raising money for local charities, such as our Site in Dukinfield who have introduced dress down Friday to raise money for the local Willow Wood Hospice and in Wincanton where they have been raising money for Children’s Liver Disease Foundation through many fundraising initiatives.
As well as fundraising for our local communities we also introduced our Group chosen charities at the end of 2018. Our people selected Cancer Research UK, Alzheimer’s Society and Mind, Blue Light programme by vote and the teams will support them through a range of community activities. Since the start of the year the team has raised over £500 for the various charities.
Our Bristol office is really excited to be sponsoring, for the second year running, Jordan Crane who is currently playing in the back row at Bristol Bears Rugby Club.
TP Group is also supporting Jamie Ironmonger, who suffered from PTSD during his 16 years as a Police Officer. In April 2019 he will be heading off to Kathmandu and onwards to Tibet to walk in the footsteps of George Mallory and Andrew Irvine as they attempted to summit Everest via the north side back in 1924. Jamie is taking on this challenge in support of Mind, the Mental Health Charity to raise awareness of the issues that can affect all of us.
In support of its growing commitment to the communities in which it operates, TP Group is pleased to announce its 2019 sponsorship of the Barrow Raiders - originally formed in 1875 as the Barrow Rugby Football Club.
James Norwood, Senior Vice President for Corporate Development recently visited the ground to see the new developments taking place at the club and to see firsthand the TP Group sponsorship board. “It is great that we can support Barrow Raiders with the fantastic work they do in the area, not only does our sponsorship support the club which is currently in League One but the ground is also available for youth rugby training as well as concerts and events for the benefit of the local community. TP Group completes a lot of work in the area with BAE Submarines, it is only right that we help to support that community through sponsorship opportunities such as this”.
Adele Neale, Commercial Director for Barrow Raiders said, “This is a massive coup for the town of Barrow and Barrow Raiders in particular in that one of our partners is willing to put something back in to the local economy and is committed to making the town more appealing for its residents.”
