This morning TP Group took another step forward in executing our growth strategy. We have just announced the acquisition of a pan-European services and software business in the Space sector.

Sapienza (https://www.sapienzaconsulting.com/) is a group of services and software companies with headquarters in the Netherlands and around 160 staff there and across additional facilities in five other European countries. Sapienza provides specialist consulting and technical services for space missions and operations to international and government organisations, including the European Space Agency (“ESA”), NATO and EUMETSAT.

They also have some advanced software tools using Artificial Intelligence and machine learning methods which are marketed to project teams in large technical development projects and system programmes.

This acquisition fits within our five-point strategy because:

  • Competitive leadership – Sapienza are respected and trusted providers of services in this
    most technical of sectors
  • Major customers – Sapienza bring new major customers like ESA, and we can introduce
them to several of our own
  • Investing in capability – Sapienza has technology development plans that we will support
and they can contribute skills and experience to some of ours
  • Partnership and acquisition
  • Geographic expansion – this transaction takes us into a new, international delivery profile
that will help us drive growth throughout Europe
