TIDE’s machine learning assists your team to make better decisions faster - in an auditable and transparent way.

The system was created with teams of analysts in mind - and the increasingly large, often inconsistent, data sets that they review and process.


TIDE monitors analysts as they work, determining what data is relevant to that analyst and current investigation. Using a transparent machine learning technique, TIDE produces human readable rules to describe the analysts’ decisions. These rules are then applied to the data to predict relevance and prioritise for analysis.

How does TIDE work?

Information is pulled into TIDE from multiple sources from internal locations such as incident reports and customer databases to online news portals, RSS feeds, Facebook, Twitter and other social media platforms.

Keywords (such as names, places and objects) are programmed into TIDE to collate data on - similarly exclusions and statements to ignore can be entered into the system. The higher concentration of keywords that are matched within the source data - the higher the result is ranked and prioritised for the individual or team. The relevance prediction is then compared to the ranking provided by the analyst, which continues to train and update the machine learning AI.

When supporting a team, each individual can focus on different data sets to assess and score. TIDE works in the background to monitor their individual analysis and blend results into a team prediction on all available data, so the whole team benefits from each other’s analysis automatically.
