Carbon Monoxide and Hydrogen Removal

TPG systems are very compact and work well in a multi-pass system to control the atmosphere.

They are known throughout the industry as “burners” despite the fact that the action is catalytic and not flame.

High Temperature Carbon Monoxide and Hydrogen Burner

This system converts carbon monoxide and hydrogen to carbon dioxide and water vapour respectively by oxidising them over a Hopcalite catalyst at high temperature, typically greater than 200 degrees centigrade. Special features incorporated within the unit make it suitable for applications where refrigerant gases may be present in the airflow.

These units tend to have a sterilising effect on the air from the constant high temperature.

Low Temperature Carbon Monoxide and Hydrogen Burner

This compact system converts carbon monoxide and hydrogen to carbon dioxide and water vapour respectively by oxidising them over a special catalyst. Unlike other catalysts used for this purpose, the specially formulated grade used by TPG functions at ambient temperatures and in the presence of water vapour without being poisoned.

These units are compact and low powered.
